Aboriginal Business Investment Fund – opened on June 30th

Eligible businesses can apply for up to $500,000 in capital funding for ventures that improve socio-economic outcomes for their communities. See full details here


Alberta Real Estate Foundation Grants – apply now for Sept 6 intake on Investment Grant

Funds are available for projects including those that improve housing affordability or research / planning – business case or feasibility study, etc. See full details here 

Workforce Strategies Grant – applications opened on June 30 & deadline to submit expression of interest is July 22

Three funding streams available, allowing eligible applicants to include municipalities, non-profits, and businesses, etc. See full details here


Agri-Food & Bioindustrial Innovation Program – launched on June 23

Funds are available for SMEs, industry and  R & D organizations, and post-secondary institutions with projects related to enhancing productivity,          reducing costs, adding  value, and increasing environmental sustainability.  See full details here


Community Revitalization Levy – applications reopened on July 4

This program assists municipalities with funds to redevelop areas where private sector development has been difficult to attract, owing to land conditions or existing infrastructure. See full details here


Central Alberta SMARTstart Entrepreneur Program – accepting applications for participants and mentors for Sept 2022 intake

This training is for entrepreneurs and businesses who have been operating for 3 years or less. See full details here


Invitation to Provide Input on Labour Shortages in Ag & Agri-Food Sectors – online survey open until Sept. 28

Employers, farmers, producers, workers, and other key stakeholders are encouraged to participate. See survey link here.

Civil Society Fund – 2022 – 2023 applications are open from July 8 to Sept. 2, 2022

Non-profit organizations, First Nation communities and Metis Settlements can apply for funding to assist with projects that support social and economic recovery. See full details here
