  1. Farm Credit Canada AgriSpirit Fund: July 30 Application Deadline
     
    Eligible applicants include registered charities & non-profits who partner with a municipal body, and non-profits who partner with First Nations, or Métis governments/communities in rural Canada. The fund supports capital projects that enrich the lives of residents in communities with fewer than 150,000 people. Projects can receive between $10,000 and $25,000. Examples of projects include greenhouses and other agriculture and food-related initiatives, refrigeration and equipment to support food waste reduction and recovery, projects that improve accessibility and inclusion, or upgrades that reduce a building’s energy footprint.

  2. Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant: Now Open!
     
    Provides up to $30,000 in matching funding to small & medium sized manufacturers from any sector.

  3. Central Alberta Economic Resiliency Taskforce (CAERT) Business Survey
     
    Central Alberta businesses are encourage to complete the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/EconomicResiliency before Aug. 29. Please share this link and the attached letter that outlines how the input may be used to help enhance business supports throughout Central Alberta and across the province.   4. Rural Health Professionals Action Plan (RhPAP) Seeking Host Community for 2026 Conference: Proposals accepted until Sept 19, 2025

    - Kneehill County: $90K for marketing & investment attraction initiatives
    - Town of Sundre: $53K for projects to grow retail & industrial sectors

  7. Funding Available Through Foundations / Corporations:
     
    Rocky Mountain Equipment (RME) Community Investment Supportgrants for initiatives related to agriculture and construction advocacy, youth development, and safety.
     
    - Carthy Foundation Grantssupports national and regional initiatives related to youth & the environment
    - Richardson Foundation: helping charitable organizations that support the arts, education, youth initiatives, and environmental issues
    - Mosaic: focusing on food, water, and local community
    - Simply Organicsupports non-profits providing access to nutrient dense, organic food options
    - Burnbrae Farms Foundation: helps at-risk families access affordable & nutritious food, invests in sustainable ag research & practices, & demonstrate environmental leadership
    - AB Blue Cross Built Together Program: Accepting applications until Sept 22, 2025 for community spaces for active living

  8. BDC & First Nations Bank of Canada Business Acquisition Initiative
     
    $100M available to Indigenous communities and economic development agencies.

  9. New Community Futures of Central Alberta Lending Program: Kick Start Youth Loan
    Young entrepreneurs aged 18-34 can access micro-loans of $3K - $25K. Call 403.342.2055 to learn more!
