  1. Youth Employment & Skills Program: Applications Open from Jan 27 – Feb 25
    This fund aims to help young Canadians access employment opportunities and gain valuable work experience in the agricultural sector, while contributing to the growth of the agricultural community in Canada. Eligible applicants include producers, agri-businesses, industry associations, Indigenous organizations and research facilities.
  1. Central Alberta First Business Retention & Expansion and Workforce Development (BREWD) Survey: Opens Jan 23
     
    Businesses in the communities of Red Deer, Red Deer County, Penhold, Innisfail, Olds, Mountain View County and Kneehill County are encouraged to complete the BREWD Survey, providing important information on how to best support and grow businesses in Central Alberta.

  2. Rural Transit Solutions Fund – Capital Projects Stream: Applications now open until March 4

  2. Business Conditions in Rural and Small Town Canada: A new interactive dashboard launched by Statistics Canada

  3. Community Futures has launched a new series of FREE online courses for businesses / entrepreneurs. The first two courses that are now available for registration are a business planning course entitled “Your Business Your Plan” and a hiring / onboarding course entitled “Talent & Teams.” Check out more info HERE

  4. The Rural Health Professionals Action Plan (RhPAP) has opened the 2025 healthcare heroes award
     
    Nominate a deserving physician, nurse or other health care professional before Feb 28.
